Giving Thanks

Had a wonderful Turkey Day! 22 people were here. We were only missing Marc, Mary Ellen, Alex & OSKAR!! but I got a picture. I see so much of so many faces in that cute little chub. Mom also brought her dear friend Anna Lisa and we showed her a complete, eat til you are sick tradition.

My favorite part was getting the cousins together for a picture. The last one I had of them all together was when Em and Grace were infants, and Luke, Marcus and Will were just twinkles in the eye. Our family is truly blessed!

Oh Happy Day!

Today is Joe's first day as an Associate Pastor!!!!!!! It's a happy, happy day here at the Sheedy house. Instead of being on the road this morning he was helping Grace with a short story she was writing. Instead of drinking Mountain Dew to stay awake, he made himself an omelet and exercised before I even came down stairs...put me to shame. Plus we get to have lunch with our new pastor and a wonderful lady, Roberta, that has made us feel so welcome. Good, good stuff.

God spent much of my Sunday recapping how he has brought us through the last two years of transition and 'discomfort' sha'll we say. It felt as if He was walking around with me all day. One of those days where you feel His presence acutely. And you are brought to tears with joy.

And today I hear Joe singing God's praises in the next room as he works on a new song that Zeb brought over last night. Maybe they'll debut it at open mic night this week!! Triple good stuff.

And as if things couldn't get any better, there is a crop at Scrapmania AND ProjectRunway starts WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!!!! Happy, happy Monday.

Halloween 2007

Link, Gabriella and Spiderman...as any self respecting mom, my life revolved around making sure the costumes were just right for my 3 for weeks. Spidey was a hand-me-down that needed mending in a big way. Gabriella was a no-brainer that was purchased weeks in advance but needed alterations the day of. Not to mention the wig hunt which lasted forever and the last minute wildcats jacket that I made an hour before trick-or treating. I must say that I had the most fun with Link because I knew how happy it made Connor. We got the cap on eBay, the T and pants at Kmart, and the shield and sword were a mom creation. He really looked the part, even without the fake pointy ears.

We had the yearly fire truck parade to the cul-de-sac followed by trick-or-treating and daddy manning the porch at our house. We bought way too much candy but better that than running out. My new favorite discovery...Take 5 bars-YUM!!!
